Welcome to ReelGrab. Your privacy is critically important to us. This policy explains how we handle your data within the application.
1. Data Collection
ReelGrab is designed to be a "local-first" utility. We do not collect, store, or share any personal identification information (PII). We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address to use our services.
2. Video Data & Links
When you paste a link to "Grab" a video, that link is processed solely to fetch the direct download URL from public APIs. We do not store a history of the links you search on our servers; your search history is stored exclusively on your device.
3. App Permissions
To function correctly, ReelGrab requests permission to access your device's Photo Gallery or Media Library. This permission is used exclusively for the purpose of saving the videos and audio files you choose to download. We do not access, view, or upload any of your existing photos or videos.
4. Local Storage
All downloaded videos are saved directly to your device's local gallery or internal storage. ReelGrab does not have access to these files once they are saved, nor do we upload them to any cloud storage or external servers.
5. Third-Party Services
ReelGrab interacts with third-party social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and others) to fetch media content. Please be aware that these platforms have their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their policies as we have no control over their data collection practices.
6. Cookies & Tracking
While ReelGrab itself does not use tracking technologies to monitor your behavior, our third-party advertising partners may use cookies to serve advertisements (see Section 9).
7. Security
We take the security of your local data seriously by ensuring our app follows standard security protocols for local file handling. However, the security of the videos saved on your device is ultimately your responsibility.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in this document with a new "Last updated" date.
9. Advertising
ReelGrab's website uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com.
